The path leading to the Brontë Waterfall is said to be haunted by the apparition of Emily Brontë herself. She is described as looking sad and walking with her head bowed.

The Old Silent Inn

The Old Silent Inn is a charming 400 year old country inn, nestled in the heart of the beautiful bronte countryside. The inn also offers accomodation.

 

It is reputedly haunted by the ghost of a pleasant old woamn, who was a former landlandy. The sound of a bell ringing has also been reported, and this it is claimed that she is also responsible for this as she used to announce feeding time for stray cats by sounding the bell when alive.
